Native American Medicinal Plants 
Saturday, November 16th - 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM 
Meet inside Nature Center 

Join Seneca Elder Marvin Jacobs to learn about Native American Medicinal Plants!  Look at dried plant samples from both the Northeast and the Southwest and learn about the similarities and differences between them. Then, head out on a short walk to see plants growing in their natural habitat. 

Marvin Jacobs is a Seneca Elder, a root doctor, and geo-paleontologist. He is a board member of the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, and is a member of the National Audubon, Sierra Club, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Nature Conservancy.

NYPA Fishing Platform 

Join Senior Naturalist Tom Kerr for up close looks at the flocks of Bonaparte’s Gulls that are migrating through the Niagara River before the start of winter.  The NYPA Fishing Platform offers a unique perspective of the Niagara River that will close for the season soon.  Binoculars are Available.
