Meet at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters 

Join Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge Ranger Logan Sauer and Buffalo Audubon Senior Naturalist Tom Kerr on a walk for everyone who loves birds and the outdoors. We welcome those who identify as LGBTQ, allies, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy an outdoor experience that is inclusive. Binoculars will be provided and a Spotting Scope will be provided.

Confusing Fall Warblers

Having trouble telling those migrating Warblers apart now that they have molted out of breeding plumage?  Learn how to tell a fall Blackpoll Warbler from a fall Bay-breasted Warbler in a short presentation, then head out for a birdwatching hike at Beaver Meadow to test your new skills!

Meet inside the Nature Center 

Join us at Beaver Meadow Nature Center to learn about beavers! We'll talk about how they build dams and the habitat they create, and touch real beaver fur. Then we'll try and build our own dams! Afterward, play in our nature center's new beaver lodge!

Basic Survival Skills
Saturday, September 28th - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Beaver Meadow Nature Center

Learn some basic outdoor survival skills with Buffalo Audubon Senior Naturalist Breton Sloan! This class will focus on securing water, starting a fire, and building shelter. Thanks to Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops Outdoor fund, each participant will receive a free outdoor kit (an $80.00 Value) including:
· Hydration Backpack
· Rechargeable Headlamp
· First Aid Kit
· Emergency Blanket
 
Participants should pack a lunch and wear proper footwear for hiking
