Birding at Buckhorn Island State Park
Saturday, March 2nd - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Meet at Woods Creek Kayak Launch Join Senior Naturalist Tom Kerr for a hike along the upper Niagara with the Ducks, Swans, and other waterfowl preparing to head north for the nesting season. Binoculars will be provided. This is one of our longer hikes, and will be close to 4 miles round-trip. $10.00 Buffalo Audubon Members $15.00 General Admission. |

Guided WNY Winter Hiking Challenge Hike
Saturday, March 9th - 9:00 AM Beaver Meadow Nature Center Come hiking with us! Embark on a guided hike along the WNY Winter Hiking Challenge Trail at Beaver Meadow Nature Trail! This nearly four-mile route will take us through many of the different nature spots at Beaver Meadow on a nice winter morning hike. Registration is not required. Meet at the nature center. The hike will head out promptly at 9:00AM. |

Toddler Time! - Slithery Snakes
Tuesday March 12th - 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Beaver Meadow Nature Center Enjoy a snake-themed Toddler Time on Tuesday, March 12th! We'll learn about snakes, make a snake-related craft, and meet a snake, one of our educational animals. The Beaver Meadow Nature Center is currently closed to the public. Restrooms will be available to Toddler Time attendees. |

Saturday March 23rd - 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Meet Outside Nature Center Join us for a hike of our longest trail, the aptly named Long Trail! This roughly 2-mile hike will take us through the woods at Beaver Meadow, and we can keep an eye out for signs of spring. |
Beaver Meadow Owl Prowl
Saturday March 23rd - 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM Meet inside Nature Center Bring a flashlight and join us for a nocturnal hike at Beaver Meadow in search of the Screech-owls and Barred Owls that make their home in the nature preserve. Binoculars and a spotting scope will be available. Limited space is available |
Toddler Time! - Maples
Tuesday March 26th - 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Beaver Meadow Nature Center Come along to learn about sugar maples and maple syrup! We'll talk about how trees make sap and how sap becomes syrup, try some maple syrup, and make a craft! Best for children age 2-4. Our nature center is currently closed to the public. Restrooms will be available for Toddler Time attendees. |

Join Naturalist Tom Kerr for a Hawk Watching workshop and learn how to ID those raptors before they soar out of sight. Pack a lunch and bring a lawn chair and sit outside with us watching for Hawks as they migrate over Beaver Meadow.
