Do you love the forest? We know.
Join us on May the Fourth for a hike through the Old Woods! We'll spend time in the forest and learn talk about all of the Earthly creatures who live there. This is a roughly 1-mile hike.

Come on down to Beaver Meadow Nature Center to learn about white-tailed deer! We'll learn about signs of deer and then go on a walk to see what we can find. Then we'll look at a deer skull and a fur, and make a deer craft!
All ages are welcome!

May 11th, All Day Long 
Birdathon is like a walk-athon, but instead of counting miles, we count birds! Teams of birders will spend 24 hours birding to see who can find the most birds, and who can raise the most money to support Buffalo Audubon. ​

Interested in volunteering to teach on field trips at Beaver Meadow? We offer a variety of educational programs for different groups, including schools that come for field trips. Volunteers can help teach these programs during the spring field trip season.
If you want to learn more about what it takes to volunteer, come to our volunteer training! We'll cover two of our most popular school programs and show you how to teach them. This training isn't a strict commitment to volunteering but a great way to get involved. Volunteers need to be over 18 years old.
If you've volunteered with us before and want a refresher, please join us!
